Pretty Pooches
The commission maths

Your Instagram follower books you. Why pay commission on a client you introduced?

Marketplace booking apps tax you on “new” clients — even the ones who found you on your own feed. Put in your numbers and see the yearly bill, next to a flat plan that takes 0% on the people you already own.

Estimates based on each platform’s published rates for your market — both run pet-grooming marketplaces. Fees apply to new-client bookings only; card-processing fees are excluded — every platform charges them, and with us that’s Stripe’s fee plus 1.0–2.5% by plan. Pretty Pooches is a flat monthly fee with 0% commission on any client. Change the sliders to match your own book.

What the marketplaces actually charge

Do booking marketplaces charge dog groomers commission?
Yes. Marketplace apps like Fresha and Booksy run pet-grooming marketplaces and charge a one-time fee on a new client’s first booking — Fresha around 20%, Booksy around 30% — on top of a monthly subscription. Pretty Pooches charges a flat monthly fee (plus standard card processing) and 0% commission on your bookings.
Are the clients I introduce charged too?
On the marketplace apps, a client who found you on your own Instagram or by referral can still be counted as a “new” marketplace client and charged a commission. On Pretty Pooches, clients book on a site under your own brand, so the people you introduce are always yours.
Do grooming-specific tools charge commission?
Grooming-specific software such as MoeGo and Tuft is flat-fee and generally takes 0% booking commission — but they’re still a monthly subscription. The marketplace apps are the ones that also take a cut of every new client.
Is there dog-grooming booking software with no commission?
Yes. Pretty Pooches charges a flat monthly fee (plus standard card processing of 1.0–2.5% by plan on online payments) and takes 0% commission on your bookings, on a website under your own business name and brand.
